Row your Boat

We built row boats by
The ocean and tossed
Worries in the water,
And found ourselves
Using childhood as the
Anchor to this vessel.

Laughing under the
Summer sun feeling the
Months slipping painfully
By, these worries rose to
The surface and battered
Our little row boat until

Chips were floating in
Front of us, filling the
Inside of our hub, no
Matter how quickly
We scooped they were
Overwhelming in size

And shape, too late to
Turn back we waved hands
In the air and cares dripped
From the heavens raining
Our skin with the past, too
Much time passes and we

Sink in the weight of it all.
